Good People. Bad Things. 2025 CFP Course # 338784 Experience proves that not every person operates at the highest levels of ethical decision-making. Every few years, some corner of the financial advice profession seems to be beset with scandal or ongoing debates about issues rooted in ethical concerns. Most financial advisors do not knowingly violate a law or policy, nor do they set out to do so with intent. Ethical researchers point to a slippery slope - large scale ethical lapses start with a small tipping point - a poor choice made under some element of pressure that grows and escalates over time. Exploring how to avoid that first poor choice - that tipping point - is the intent of Good People. Bad Things.
