  • FPAAZ welcomes all CFP(R) Professionals in good standing with the CFP(R) Board of Standards and bound by our industry Code of Ethics and Practice standards to participate in this Pro Bono Financial Planning Event. Your financial planning activities are not explicitly covered under our master E&O policy. It is a good idea to ensure that your firm or employer supports participation in Pro Bono financial planning events, and provides umbrella professional liability coverage for these activities. The chapter will provide pre-event training and supply any/all documentation required by the CFP(R) Board of Standards to adequately define and limit the terms of the Pro Bono Engagement agreement with any participating Pro Bono clients.
  • FPAAZ carries E&O insurance for any/all Pro Bono Financial planning engagements. As long as our CFP(R) chapter members' adhere to all training, disclosure, and documentation requirements, their activities are covered under the master E&O policy.
  • All chapter members are welcome to participate in all chapter events, including Pro Bono financial planning opportunities. Your participation in a Pro Bono event could include welcoming and signing in Pro Bono Clients, supporting logistics needs and documentation work, or potentially public awareness efforts for relevant trained subject matter experts. Additionally, if you are training to become a CFP(R) Professional, and the Pro Bono client is in agreement, participation might include ghost attendance during a Pro Bono financial planning session.
